People are the key to our success: YOU, YOUR CHILDREN and OUR TEAM.

To make sure we provide the best care for your children, we have developed a recruitment process which helps us to select the right people, with the right skills, experience and attitude, for the very important job of looking after your children. All members of our staff have undergone relevant safeguarding checks and paediatric first aid training.

Why do children enjoy coming to St Mary’s Kids Club?

Our experienced staff listen to our children so they understand what they enjoy doing best. This means that when we plan our activities, we aim to create an exciting programme, which is tailored to provide fun for all the children. The children can enjoy a range of activities such as: arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading, construction (Lego, building blocks etc) small world play (train set, dolls house etc) imaginative play (puppet theatre, dressing up etc) and games. Apart from 10 minutes of TV in the morning, we pride ourselves that our Kids Club is an electronic device free zone.  St Mary’s Kids Club aims to promote healthy eating and the snacks we offer reflect this. The children are offered a drink and snack at both 3.20pm and 4.45pm, we realise how hungry children get!

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

We adhere to the Ofsted standards for the Early Years Foundation Stage, which exist for school clubs who support children up to the term before they are six. The EYFS children enjoy their time in After School Club spent in the Early Years classrooms, where the equipment is better suited to the younger children and they can relax in a smaller group of children.
