We are happy to share academic results from across our school in recent years. These outcomes are thanks to the hard work not only of the children themselves but also the parents and teachers who support and encourage them – in front of and behind the scenes! School staff see these results as a culmination of work that has taken place throughout the children’s time at St Mary’s: as a team, we celebrate together.
In the chart below you can see the results from across the school from 2016 – 2019. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, statutory assessments did not take place in 2020 or 2021.
In 2016, significant changes were made to the way in which pupils are tested at the end of KS1 and KS2. Comparisons cannot be made with previous school results since the context is now different and standards have been raised substantially.
Until 2015, expectations were for pupils to reach L4+ at the end of Y6 and L2+ at the end of Y2. Now, pupils should meet the ‘expectation’ for their age at the end of each key stage – and, in fact, at the end of each academic year
